The Cold Boating Day!

Wow, what a cloudy day for boating.  It took us forever to get down to Blue Gum Point.  Room 5 went down there to for Outdoor Education and to learn about Summer Safety.

As soon as we got down there we had a good safety briefing, like where we were allowed to go.  Brooke and I were the first people to go on the biscuit.  We kept on saying “FASTER”.  I was feeling overjoyed.  The wind was flicking my hair back and I could hardly speak.

Connor and I were trying to catch cockabillies.  We didn’t catch any and we were furious!  My last time on the biscuit was on the hot dog.  I was so excited I was laughing as my heart beat loudly.

I was swimming then Mrs Alber yelled, “it is time to pack your bags!”   I was so down in the dumps because we had to go.  It was a spectacular day but it was good to be back at school.

Our Boating Day

We woke up to a cold and freezing morning.  I thought we were going to have a terrible day but I was wrong.  It turned into an awesome day.  Our boating day was for water safety.

We had to walk all the way from school to Blue Gum Point.  It was tiring and it felt like I had walked infinity kilometres.  Apart from that it was awesome!

When we got there Mr Rush told us about the boundaries and the rules.  We got told how to get on the boats.  I got to go on the biscuit.  It went flying in the air and it was bouncy and really fast.

When we finished biscuiting I made a huge sandcastle and flooded Mrs Ball’s castle.  We went diving for cockabillies.

I learnt safety about boating and if you fall out then stay where you are.  I faced my biggest fear by diving and touching the bottom.  I felt really sad when we left.

At the beginning of the year we interviewed a classmate to get to know each other a little better.  We then had to write an introduction for our buddy.  Check out a few below.

Let me introduce you to Riyanna.  Her eyes are dark like the inside of chocolate.   Her hair is like the colour of  caramel.   Riyanna is happy as a clown.

Riyanna likes books and puzzles because they are interesting.  She likes to play tennis because she likes to run and hit the ball.  She is scared of her brother when he is angry.  Her biggest achievement is when she saved her own self from a river.   Her favourite animal is a rabbit because they are soft. Riyanna’s favourite holiday is Christmas because of the presents.

I’m glad that she is at school.

Let me introduce you to Harry Mc.  Harry has lovely blue eyes that sparkle like the sea.  Harry’s hair is the colour of the darkest mud.  He loves playing soccer because it is fun for Harry.   His favourite animal is a tiger .  He loves patting them because they are soft for him.  Harry’s favourite colour is light blue because it reminds him of the sea.  He loves going to the public library.  He thinks his biggest achievement is being able to use a slug gun.  His favourite celebration is Easter because he loves going outside to find chocolate and eating them.  Winter is what he likes most because he likes playing in the snow.    Harry is a funny person because he says funny words.

Let me introduce you to Brooke Scott.  Brooke follows the Fiordland Values.  Her heart sparkles every day.  Her eyes glow in the dark.   Her favourite hobbies are going to the beach, skiing and biscuiting.  Brooke’s favourite sport is water skiing because she gets wet.  Brooke loves every season because they have fun events.  She loves every animal in the universe!  Brooke loves her birthday because she gets presents and Christmas
because everybody gets presents.
Brooke is a super star everyday.
